Do'S AND Dont's For Your Skin !

skin is fed with pure essential oils, which is naturally hydrating and rich in nutrients. It also penetrates the skin and rejuvenates the cells. Massage of skin with essential oils helps increase the blood circulation or rather improve the blood circulation. It also strengthens the connective tissues and hence reduces or delays wrinkle formation.
Since skin has many functions and is related with the health and beauty of an individual, proper care must be taken for it. It should be kept clean with frequent cleaning and bathing. Avoid use of tobacco and other related harmful substances due to which the waste material has to be excreted by the skin.
There are 3 primary layers in the skin.
  1. Hypodermis is the deepest layer of the skin where there is no effect of cosmetics.
  2. Dermis is layer where collagen and elastin is produced which maintains the firmness of the skin. Dermis is the middle layer of the skin.
  3. Epidermis is the layer, which should be looked after carefully as this is the outermost layer of the skin prone to infections. All cosmetic products act on this layer.
Procedures to be followed for great skin:
  1. Washing and Cleansing
  2. Toning
  3. Moisturizing
  4. Massaging
DO's:
  1. Wash your skin twice daily with a soft herbal cleanser and lukewarm water
  2. Nourish and moisturize your skin daily with essential oils suitable for your skin type.
  3. Avoid excessive exposure to sun, cold weather, snow, salt, and water.
  4. Do facial exercise 1-2 times per day.
  5. Bright color fruits are beneficial for skin. Add apples, oranges, carrot, and tomatoes in your daily diet for a glowing skin.
  6. Steam bath 2 - 3 times a month is beneficial for your skin as it deep-cleanses the pores and stimulates blood circulation.
  7. Caress your face with steam made out of boiling water with 2-3 drops of essential oil in it. (sandalwood oil is one of the best essential oil for this purpose)
DONT's:
  1. Avoid very oily creams. They clog pores and causes puffiness.
  2. Avoid using harsh detergents or soap on the face.
  3. Avoid chemical make-up removers and heavy eye creams. For removing eye make-up, use cotton dipped in plain vegetable oil.
  4. Avoid using harsh scrubs, pumice stones, or chemical powders.

    3-    Mix 1tab spoon rose water and 5 drops of lemon juice and apply on face at night and wash in morning.
